Which solar water heater is better among Flat plate collector and Evacuated Tube collector?
...
I have had great success with a small passive solar window heater in my bedroom. Now I would like to go alot bigger. I would like to build a big solar heater for an entire living space. The problem I have is the only spot where I can get enough sun is covered by a sun room. My question is.If I were to insulate some piping, would there still be enough heat to make it about 15 feet. from the solar heater to a window to enter the house?. I cannot put it any where else, so this is the only spot. I live in Maine where it can get down into the teens and single numbers during the day. Thanks for any input you may have!
for new or refit too older homes with this type of heat.
I want to build a solar hot water heater for my crappy swimming pool. I’m wondering if anyone has done this with any success, especially in cold climates?
I’m interested in using something similar to an evacuated tube with a heat core, but I don’t have a vacuum pump…
Any ideas?
how a passive solar heater works its functions im very interestid
I thought they would be ugly, but you can’t even tell they are there.

Hi wondered if you could help. I am looking for a battery powered heater, I have searched but can only came up with http://www.batteryoperatedheaters.org/battery-powered-heater/ but all the heaters on the site are either butane or mains powered, I’m sure someone must make a decent one. I want a battery powered one as its for a shed mains are to far away and butane is to risky. I may be interested if anyone knows of any solar powered options?
