I hate to deal with the plastic solar covers (and I don’t think they work all that well). I would consider a black tube solar heating system but don’t know how effective they are. Are there any chemicals that will do it? What about the solar fish that leaks os Isopropyl Alcohol? I don’t want to spend a ton…as I hope to get a heater next season

I just purchased a 130,000 BTU pool heater for my pool which is 12,000 gal and it has a surfice feet of 452.

I was going to use a 120 gal tank, but the LP gas man told me that I would burn that up on the initial heat-up and would then need to be refill.

Does that sound right? That seems like it would be using a lot of gas. Can anyone tell me how much gas I might use in a season or how much gas I would use in a month?
I will be using a solar cover and I am only looing for an increase of 5 to 6 degress increase in water tempeture.
Thanks for your help!!
